Description

I made this original print using a combination of letterpress + linocut printmaking. The text is a combination of hand-set antique wood and metal type, and the waves are old metal squiggly rules / borders. The Creature from the Black Lagoon / “Gillman” drawing is printed using a linoleum block that I drew and carved by hand.

This print is available in limited quantities on 8.5×11″ cream or white cardstock, and they will be signed and numbered on back. This print would be a great gift for a pool / cabin owner, vintage horror movie fan, or fan of letterpress printing!

Each print is inked by hand and hand-printed (or “hand pulled”) on my flatbed printing / proofing press. Due to the hand inking, the age of the wood type, and the nature of the printing process, there may be a variation of texture, color, and opacity between different prints, making every print unique! I try to show some examples of the variations in my product photos.

You will receive the print unframed, in a plastic sleeve, inside a semi-rigid cardboard mailer envelope. I ship via USPS First Class and the shipping cost includes tracking via Etsy.
